随着经济的发展，人类对能源的需求越来越大，对环境的认知、研究和保护，也行成了一种体系。而能源与环境又息息相关，人类在获取或利用能源时会改变甚至破坏原本的环境，但能源促使经济发展的同时又会推动着对环境的改善。对于能源与环境的研究、探讨与交流，不管是我国还是世界各国，都是非常必要的。
能源与环境研究进展国际学术会议（International Conference on Advances in Energy and Environment Research），主要是对国内外研究“能源工程和技术”、“环境科学和工程”、“电力供应系统”、“资源勘探与利用和可持续发展”等方面的专家学者展开的一个国际学术交流。2021年能源与环境研究进展国际学术会议（ICAEER 2021），将于2021年9月10日至12日在上海电力大学举行。这次会议的目的是为业界建立一个广泛、有效的交流合作平台,让所有研究人员和工程师分享学术成果、了解行业发展动态，促进相关研究领域的发展。
