主讲人简介： The speaker Dr Laichang Zhang is an Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University. He previously worked at The University of Western Australia, University of Wollongong, TU Darmstadt (Germany), and IFW Dresden (Germany). He is currently the discipline leader Mechanical Engineering and has built an excellent research group for his research interests in light-weight alloys, functional nanomaterials and membranes for water/wastewater treatment, metallic biomaterials, and corrosion of materials. He has published 2 books, 6 book-chapters, over 140 journal articles, and 3 patents. His excellence in research has been reported in live TV in ABC News channel and CCTV-4 channel and many mainstream newspapers and magazines (such as ABC online, Xinhua net). Associate Professor Zhang has extensive experience in teaching in Australian university and has familiar with the Australian Tertiary Education system.
张来昌博士毕业于中国科学院金属研究所，德国“洪堡”学者，先后在澳大利亚卧龙岗大学、西澳大利亚大学从事教学和研究工作，现为澳大利亚埃迪斯·科文大学副教授（终身位置）及机械工程学科负责人，澳大利亚研究理事会（ARC）项目评审专家和澳大利亚合作研究中心（CRC）项目评审专家。曾任上海电力学院“海外名师”。他长期从事新型材料的制备、结构和性能，尤其是非晶态合金和新型钛合金的制备工艺和性能的研究，已主持和参与3项澳大利亚研究理事会和欧盟的研究项目。迄今为止，他已经出版英文书籍2本、书籍章节6篇、发表在国《先进功能材料》（Advanced Functional Materials）、《材料学报》（Acta Materialia）等际著名学术期刊发表SCI论文140余篇，多次被邀请撰写综述文章。他的研究工作曾在澳大利亚国家电视台（ABC）新闻频道直播采访、我国中央电视台（CCTV-4）和新华社等知名媒体报道。
